The Puppy Package (for puppies 8wks to 14wks of age) Includes 3 private lessons(1¼ hours each), a Puppy Kong® toy, Premier® treat bag, clicker, "Management Magic" by Leslie Nelson and Gail Pivar, and tug toy!   We'll talk about proper socialization, housetraining, home alone training, puppy nipping and mouthing, beginning handling for grooming, and prevention of other problem behaviors using rewards. You'll learn how to teach your new puppy basic cues like sit, down, or go to crate, and teach your puppy great management skills such as come when called and walking on a loose leash.  You can teach your pup to tug and fetch!  We'll fit the training to match your needs!  Lessons must be scheduled within an 8-week time frame in order to be successful!  $295 Private Training Lessons    Learn how to teach your dog practical skills using a marker signal (the clicker) and rewards.  Forge a new and cooperative relationship with your canine companion as you both learn how to communicate effectively with each other.  Manners and obedience can all be trained using this wonderful method.  Learn how to "capture", "target," and "shape" behaviors.  Challenge yourself and be creative with useful tricks.  It's fun and your dog will thank you for making him or her your training partner.   $85 per hour Behavior Consultations   Unfortunately some dogs exhibit behaviors that humans consider problematic.  Inappropriate elimination, vocalization, lunging and barking at other animals, home-alone problems, nipping and biting can turn the family pet into the family outcast.  Happy Tails Family Dog Training wants you to enjoy your dog and keep him in your home as a trusted family member.  If you feel that a consultation is in order, we will help you sort out the details of your dog's behavior.  The consultation is done in your home and lasts approximately 2 hours. Depending on the nature of your dogs specific issue, we may first suggest a vet visit to rule out any medical issues before implementing any training or behavior modification program.  During our time together, we will ask you many specific questions in order to obtain more details and a time line of the problems you are experiencing.  We'll also take note of your daily routines and how they may be affecting your dog.   All behavior modification is dependent on your compliance to the training protocols and management of your dog.  Should the problems be out of the scope of Happy Tails Family Dog Training, we will refer you to a Certified Applied Animal Behaviorist or a Veterinary Behaviorist.  $85 per hour  In-Home Services and Day Training  Happy Tails Family Dog Training offers in-home pet-sitting and board and house-training services.
